The results of this study have provided a certain amount of insight into the attitudes and perceptions of the Israelis. For instance, the Zero-sum scale (the perception that there can be no compromise between the ingroup and outgroup-there can be a win and lose i.e. there can be no middle ground. These results offered connections between beliefs and perception such as the direct correlation between the zero-sum scale results and the belief that all Palestinians hate Israelis and would want to kill them if they could.

However, the hawk-dove item was the strongest predictor of the Compromise Scale. Since the hawks object to compromise, and the doves support it, this made it easy to centrally identify the attitudes of the people. The study thus proved the prevalence of an overall support for compromise and resolution. It also hints that the hatred stems from fear of the safety and lives of their loved ones.
